Annual General Meeting 2021 | Registration is now open
Dear NBA members,
The Norwegian Business Association China’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday March 2nd. The event will take place in Shanghai at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai Hotel from 17:00-21:00 (Registration from 16:15).
AGM is the platform to recap the deliverables of the past year, to determine the objectives of the coming year, elect the Board of Directors for NBA 2021 and meet new and old friends.
Before the AGM kicks off (18:30pm), we are pleased to arrange a pre-meeting for our members. We are honored to have guests from the Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries to share with us the latest movements about some of the most relevant topics, including the ongoing negotiations of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Norway and China. Our guest speakers include:

Kristin Enstad, Director Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Asia section)
Vibeke Greni, Director Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries
Jan Farberg, Norway's Chief Negotiator for FTA
Representatives from the industries will also share insights about the latest development in their respective business sectors. The pre-meeting session will be followed by a Q&A session in the end.

Please note that due to Covid-19 the pre-meeting and AGM will be member-exclusive and each member company may have maximum 2 representatives joining the offline event, whilst more can join the online event. If the situation in Shanghai changes, we may have to make the AGM a fully digital event.
Are You Our Next Board Member or Chairman?
We encourage all the corporate members to send their nomination for potential board members and Chairman to be elected at the AGM by 15th February. Corporate members that would like to contribute to the Norwegian business society are encouraged to put forward your candidacy for election. Please note that nominations can be suggested at any time, including at the AGM, however, if you have a candidate in mind, please notify us via [email protected] as soon as possible and preferably before the afore said date.
Changes to Articles of Association
We encourage our members who would like to propose changes to the Articles of Association to send these to the Administration by 15th February, so it can be included in the documentation which will be sent to members in advance.
