Changes to the Board of Directors of NBA China

Dear NBA Members:

NBA BoD member in Beijing, Ms Helen Yu previously representing Aker Solution has left her position in Aker Solution. Pursuant to the NBA, articles of association, sub-section 3.4 on Vacancies of the Board: “The Board member shall as a main rule live in China, and will as a main rule lose his/her seat if he/she leaves from the member company.” 

In line with the requirements of the articles of association, any board member that resigns from his/her company must vacate the board and a new election will be held for that position. Due to the closeness to the AGM, the Board has decided that the election for the vacant BoD position representing Beijing to be held in conjunction with AGM on 29th of March 2022, where a total of 3 representatives from Beijing will be elected.

Helen has served as Board Member since 2021 AGM and has been an valuable contributor to the Norwegian business community leveraging her long experience and understanding from working at one of Norway’s key sectors in China. Her willingness to share knowledge and best practices has brought the Norwegian – Chinese business community closer together.

The Board of Directors would like to express their gratitude to Helen for her contributions and wish Helen best of luck in her new endeavors!
