Previous highlights: Maritime networking event in Shanghai
6 December, the Consulate in Shanghai hosted a networking event in Shanghai. Key Norwegian maritime companies, their Chinese clients and customers, as well as relevant maritime local authorities attended. State Secretary Vidar Ulriksen from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, CEO of Norwegian Maritime Exporter Erlend Prytz, and Executive Director Helene Tofte from the Norwegian Ship Owners’ Association all sent greeting videos, wishing the industry well in the upcoming Year of the Tiger.
The Norwegian #maritime sector has a strong presence in China and are usually gathered in a Norwegian pavilion during the Marintec China expo every other year. The expo was planned for early December but was unfortunately postponed until June 2022. The Consulate General in Shanghai decided to host a networking event in lieu of Marintec, 6th of December. Key Norwegian maritime companies brought their Chinese clients and customers to the event, and relevant maritime local authorities were also invited.
